
Pi Lambda Sigma (POLIS)

Pi Lambda Sigma (POLIS), founded in 2016 by Cornell alumnus Sam Barnett, is the first and foremost pre-professional government fraternity at Cornell University. We are connected with chapters of universities, such as University of Pennsylvania, Columbia University, and Dartmouth College.
Our mission is to create a support system and provide professional development opportunities for passionate students interested in a public service careers and advancing social issues. We aim to make government a more inclusive space by providing New Member Education and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion resources. POLIS fellows have diverse interests from law and foreign policy to economics and climate justice. With this diversity of expertise, our long-term goal is to build a support network for future leaders and promote ethical public service leadership.
